Elizabeth frowned. She may have not been part of the Torchwood team for very long, and she may have not known Ianto for all that long, but something about his behaviour wasn't striking true. However, she wasn't going to say anything. She was good at reading people, but not entirely brilliant, and she was probably just being paranoid. However, she raised an eyebrow at him as she rested back on her left foot.
"Thanks" she said, flashing him a smile. Watching him hoist the alien up, she tipped her head slightly to the side. "Do you want some help with that?" she asked. She was praying that he would say yes so she could talk to him away from Bella. She needed to find out what she was supposed to do know, and what the hell she was supposed to do with the dark haired girl.

She raised her eyebrows at Ianto. Not a crazy spy ninja? Yeah right. Aliens, rift, crazy spy ninjas, all seemed to go together. She turned away from Liz and Ianto and walked over to the wall, sliding down and sitting on the ground in front of it. She pinched herself really hard to make sure she wasn’t dreaming. Bloody government. Ninjas. Coming to invade enslave the human race as some sort of subjects to some big alien monster overlord. Well, probably not. But Bella didn’t doubt it could happen, considering what she’d just experienced.
She picked up her pepper spray. She’d need to go and buy another one of them, this one was empty now. Maybe she should invest in a taser in case this ever happened again. Now that was an idea. A taser. Awesome. Stun gun! Anyways.
She watched as Liz walked over to help Ianto with taking the alien to wherever the ninja base was. Bella was against the idea of helping them, she’d helped knock it out, and considering the reception she got from Liz earlier, she thought it was wise to stay away. Plus, it might wake up again. Now that was a frightening thought.
Wiping memories. She considered the prospect. Liz had shouted at her something to do with that. Keeping it secret at all costs. Would that mean she would have her memory erased? She hoped not. Or was it one of those things that only makes you forget certain events, ie this one, rather than wiping your whole memory giving you complete amnesia? If she had to have her memory wiped, she’d prefer to only have the memory wiped. Starting again would be too hard. Anyways, maybe it was better to forget this whole thing happened. Although, if she ever saw Liz again that would be weird. But they wouldn’t. They couldn’t. Surely it’s not possible to wipe only certain memories and not others. Surely you can only wipe whole minds, like that curse in Harry Potter. The one that Lockhart always cast. Obliviate. Yeah, that was the one. Good book that one. That Lockhart got what he deserved.
Bella closed her eyes and breathed deeply. This whole thing didn’t happen, and when she opens her eyes it will all have been a dream.
She opened her eyes. Ianto and Liz were still there. This was the most messed up Friday Bella had ever experienced.

He looked at Liz and gave her a tight-lipped smile. Jack, that's probably what it all came down to. That silly captain who Ianto loved with all of his being. Yan let out a loud sigh and then smiled at her. He felt the retcon bottle in his pocket and nodded at her, “That would be helpful,” he told her, and then he looked at Bella. She looked so suspicious of them. It entertained the Welshman, he actually did smile this time.
Ianto could also tell that Bella was getting more and more nervous, had Liz already told her something about the retcon? Idiot! Ianto didn't say anything about it however, how was she supposed to know? It wasn't like Jack had been around to tell her anything, or even instruct her more than 'we catch aliens. Ok, later!' Yan was going to have a firm few words with them and none of them here 'I love you.' at the moment.

Elizabeth walked over and hoisted up the alien, taking some of the weight. It was heavy, but although Liz was a small girl, she was sturdy enough to be able to hold her own. She let Ianto lead, and waited until they were far enough away to be out of earshot before letting out a breath she’d not realised she’d been holding.
“What am I supposed to do now?!” she said, her voice clearly showing her exasperation. She knew where it was going, if she let herself think. They’d told her that much, if little else. The wonderful Retcon. Liz wasn’t so sure about that, and she was planning to do some testing as soon as she got the chance and some free time in the lab and on the computers. Wiping someone’s memory had to have some effects, and she wasn’t convinced that anyone in Torchwood would really take the time or effort to check them. Medical records and some practical experiments would hopefully ease her worries.
Anyway, that wasn’t the matter on hand at the moment, and Liz brought herself back to the present. She really didn’t want to wipe Bella’s memory. She actually liked the girl, and for someone just faced with the existence of aliens, and a large one with claws attacking you, she had coped remarkably well. Her next sentence burst from her lips before she even thought about it. “Maybe Torchwood could do with a psychologist.” She said.

Bella watched as Liz walked over to the alien and helped Ianto carry it to the SUV. They carried it away, leaving Bella where she was, but she didn’t mind. Liz started to talk to Ianto, but Bella couldn’t hear her, nor could she lip read. She knew she should have taken those classes when they were offered. Grrrrr. Even though she couldn’t tell what Liz was saying, Bella got the feeling they were talking about her. She didn’t know how, but she knew. She didn’t care really, they were probably talking about what they were going to do with her after they had the alien locked up.
