Liz darted around behind the creature as it wiped vaily at it's eyes. She reached the wood, picking up a piece and cursing as it all but crumbled in her hands, the second one was stronger, holding as she tapped it against the wall. She weighed it, stepped towards the creature, who was still facing Bella. With a grunt and a heave, she swung the wood at the things head. Wide eyed, she jumpedback as it stumbled backwards, crumpling against the wall and sliding to the ground, motionless. Liz darted back over to Bella, leaning the piece of wood on her leg as she stopped, and pulling out her gun again. "Do you think it's out?" she whispered.

The creature collapsed on the wall behind it, a product of the pepper spray and the knock on the head from Liz. She stared at it as Liz came back and stood beside her. "Do you think it's out?" “I- I don’t know. Hopefully. It looks like it, but looks can be deceiving.” She shrugged. “Look at you for instance. One minute, you’re just like any other ordinary girl with a medical degree, the next you’re some crazy spy ninja that goes running off after large monsters that could kill you. With a gun. What is with that? Have you always done that or was it just something that happened today? Or is it work? Working for one the ‘smaller government agencies’ my arse. Which of the smaller government agencies gets you to do that? I’m sorry dear, but I think you’ve got some explaining to do,” she concluded.

Liz turned to face the girl, her hands going to her lips in obvious prise and annoyance, and that sent a very clear message that she was about to blow her top. The adrenilen in her veins and her shock at being thrown so unprepared into such a foreign situation had already set her blood boiling. Liz was one of those people that liked to know what was happening, when and how. She was growing to love adventure, but fear tainted that somewhat, and twenty years of carefully planning every move made it a hard habit to break. So she wasn't happy when Bella attacked her. "Well, sor-ry." she snapped, her voice smothered with sarcasm. "It's kind of a secret thing. They don't like us to broadcast what we do. The whole point of my job is to cover up the existance of these" she said, flinging her arm out at the creature. "And I didn't drag you out here. You were the idiot to follow the girl with the gun, running after the monster" she added.

“I’m sure it is a bloody big secret! But what would happen if even more people had seen it? Ones who weren’t in the nightclub and who weren’t drunk? What would happen then girly? The drunk ones you can pass off as hallucinating or mistaking what they saw. But someone else, perfectly sober? How are you going to pass that one off?”
"And I didn't drag you out here. You were the idiot to follow the girl with the gun, running after the monster"
“Yeah well you would have gotten yourself killed if I hadn’t followed you, ninja girl! Imagine that. Girl killed by ferocious alien. I can see the headline now. What would happen then? A bit harder to be secret eh? And what are you going to do with me? Make me lose my memory of what happened and if I ask say I passed out and that’s why I can’t remember? So your secret doesn't get out? I don’t bloody think so,” she replied. She chucked Liz’s wallet at her. “Oh, and you might want this."

"If you'd not come along, I'm sure I would have gotten along just fine. " she snapped.
A bit harder to be secret eh?
Liz scoffed. "You don't get it, do you." she said. "Torchwood can do all that. We can wipe your memory, we can cover up all that crap. That's part of the bloody job. The whole point of the job actually, to keep it secret at all costs. And thanks for the wallet." she added, her voice a bit more calm now she'd had her little outburst. That rational part of her brain was tellin her to shut up before she said or did something stupid. Bloody voice was always right.

Bella raised her eyebrows. “I’m sure you just bloody well can! But that doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to do,” she retorted. “And thanks for the wallet." “No problem. That’s why I followed you actually.”
She heard Liz calm down a little from her outbreak, and it made Bella feel slightly calmer as well. She turned from Liz and stared at the creature. “Now that we’ve established things, what is it?” she asked, gesturing towards the creature. “Is it an alien? A monster? A figment of my imagination? What? Why is it here? Why me? Why!?”

[[ <3 Heyo there! Comin' to collect a body~ Liz called me in. ]] He'd been busy, but when someone tagged you at the Hub to do some actual leg work, he was usually the one called last. Which probably meant that there was a body and possibly a few people who'd seen it. Just in case Ianto grabbed the retcon bottle he knew Jack kept on hand if something were to go wrong, and then made for the door. He was still antsy about his former conversation with John, and worried about Jack (whom he hadn't heard from in hours), but right now, he had a mission to do. And he was running a tad late, better add more to the speed.
“Now that we’ve established things, what is it?” she asked, gesturing towards the creature. “Is it an alien? A monster? A figment of my imagination? What? Why is it here? Why me? Why!?”
Ianto was there within fifteen minutes, and came in to some rather interesting line of conversation. Smoothly he gauged the situation, the alien seemed to possibly still be alive, and Liz looked to have handled the situation beautifully, well, except for the rather loud-mouth and outspoken dark haired woman asking all the questions. Ianto slid into the conversation like a ghost. He smiled at Arabella and nodded his head shortly. "Alien, could possibly be a monster, and no, it's not your imagination. As to why, it probably fell out of the Rift some hour ago? Perhaps? And as for you, not a clue. Probably had nothing to do with you. Hello again Liz, settling in?" He rocketed to the two women.
He gave them a charming smile and turned back to the body. He wasn't usually so direct, but the conversation between him and John had just boiled his blood and he was on edge. He wanted to confront Jack and demand to know his real feelings towards both himself and John -- but that wasn't Ianto. He was the stern welshman who rarely showed emotions, and then they were muted. Yan sighed and looked back at the corpse, actually paying attention to it. He'd probably have to cuff the alien, since it seemed to be alive... and put it in the SUV somehow and then down into the vaults. Ianto sighed. He looked back at Liz and Arabella and smiled again.

Bella heard a voice behind her. A new one. Male. Welsh? She was never good with accents. She turned around. "Alien, could possibly be a monster, and no, it's not your imagination. As to why, it probably fell out of the Rift some hour ago? Perhaps? And as for you, not a clue. Probably had nothing to do with you. Hello again Liz, settling in?"
So it’s an alien? That girl was right. She watched as the man turned to the alien. “Do you mind explaining that again? Alien? Rift?” she asked, slightly confused. “But surely aliens don’t exist. Either that or they look like those funny green men from Mars. I mean, this thing looks funny but it’s certainly not green,” she said. She stared at the alien again for a bit. He knows Liz and asked her how she’s settling in. He must know her from work or something.
“Is he a crazy spy ninja too?” she asked Liz. The man turned around. “Well, are you?”

Hello again Liz, settling in?
Liz smiled sarcastically. "Brilliantly thanks. About time you showed up." she crossed her arms, then uncrossed them, that rational little voice that was oh so annoying told her that she'd better play nice before she said something she would regret. She uncrossed her arms, smiling apoligetically at Ianto. "It's only unconscious." she said, gesturing to the slumped alien. "A bullet to the leg didn't stop it, so we sprayed it with pepper spray and hit it over the head with a two by four." She grinned again, this time with more enthusiasm. "As you can see, that worked. For now."

He looked with mild amusement as Bella turned and looked at him. He kept a pleasant smile on his face as she questioned him again, "Not really. Bit classified." Ianto said calmly to her. His smile broadened, "But I've never seen an alien from mars who was green." He chuckled and then looked back at the alien and then at Liz, waiting for her to get back to him on what had happened.
Ianto blinked at Bella again. Crazy spy ninja? "Not the last time I checked." he told her honestly. "But I'll let you know when I do become that." He smiled at her indulgingly and then looked at Liz. There was quite a bit he wanted to accomplish at the Hub, so the sooner he got back, the better.
He looked at Liz a bit offended. Then relaxed, this had probably been very stressful for her, he looked at the out form of the alien. He looked back at her and smiled. "Good job," he told her approvingly. "If you don't mind, I can handle it from here." He meant it to not be rude or off handed to her and smiled easily.
Ianto noticed that he wasn't acting as he normally did. Something was off about him, but he brushed it off and pulled out some oddly-shaped handcuff device and attached it to the alien's wrists. He looked back at the two females and smiled again. Ianto grasped the unconscious alien and pulled it to a standing position so he could transport it to the back of the SUV.
