overall personality , Donna is a loud person, who isn't affraid to speak her mind. She can be a bit dim witted at times and is known to have a fiery, hot-headed nature where she usually jumps to conclusions in an attempt to find the truth, such as the first time she met the Doctor on her wedding day. She tends to have a loud-mouth manner as an approach to a situation, which can be off-putting to other people around her, which is a part of her abrasive personality. Being so, she is known to get on the nerves of many. The Doctor tends to describe her as rough and tomboyish, in terms of personality not appearance.
She is also one of those people who believes she is unspecial, or unimportant to what is happening all around her. The Doctor took note that she does not see the bigger picture, especially during her absence during the Sycorax ship flying over London and the Battle of Canary Wharf. In saying this, she does not believe in destiny and dismissed the idea of fate upon meeting the Doctor, and the fact that it was pre-ordained.
Donna also adopts a compassionate nature, who takes quite a time to adjust to the outrageous universe she lives in, and her travels with the Doctor. She is optimistic, and is still in awe and wonder at all the alien species and planets that exist. However during her second meeting with the Doctor, she claims that he had opened his eyes about the wonders of the universe. She is not always quick to make friends, but she has a great insight and may sometimes misjudge a person when she sees them.
During her time at her temp jobs, she has aquired many skills like investigative skills and bureaucratic areas. Donna also tells Martha Jones in "The Doctor's Daughter" that she wishes to travel with the Doctor forever, becoming the second companion to express this desire. Indeed, she admits that she couldn't go back to living a normal life after everything she has seen. Despite wanting to travel through time, Donna displays a desire not to peek at her future: she dismisses prophets in Pompeii as nonsense, turns down the chance to read River Song's diary, and declines the offer to have her fortune told on Shan Shen three times before giving in.

history , Donna Noble is a child to Geoff Noble and Sylvia Noble, and granddaughter to Wilfred Mott. She had always been the little terror at school, and one day she was sent home from school on her first day for biting another student. When she was 6 years old, her mother told her that she could not afford a holiday, so Donna got on a bus, and headed to Strathclyde.
Her life seems to have mainly consisted of temp jobs, which indicated she was never really happy working for one place. She chose a temporary secretary job at H.C. Clements over a permenant secretary job with Jival Chowdry, because it seemed she had a fear of commitment. At H.C. Clements, she fell in love on the first day with Lance Bennett, who after a period of time getting to know him, pretty much pressured her into getting married. However, Lance dosed Donna with Huon Particles, used to help the Empress of the Racnoss, so that Lance could travel around space as a deal. On Christmas Eve of 2006, she appeared in the TARDIS by the Huon Particles, and met the Tenth Doctor for the first time while still in her wedding gown. After he helped her find a cure to rid her of the Huon Particles, she was still in shock at the alien she saw, so she declined the offer from the Doctor to travel with him. She decided not to marry Lance after his distrust, and so tried to get one with life as best she could, knowing what truly lied in the universe.
However, Donna missed the Sycorax Invasion in London on Christmas Day due to a hangover, and Doomsday due to scuba diving in Spain. When investigating Miss Foster and Adipose Industries not long after the his departure, Donna and the Doctor are finally re-united. She deeply regrets to the Doctor for not joining him after his first offer, and after stopping Foster's plans to convert the whole of London into Adipose children she joins him in the TARDIS as a regular companion.
After leaving Earth for the first time, Donna and the Doctor traveled back to ancient Pompeii on the day that Mt Vesuvius erupted, and introduced themselves as Mr. and Mrs Spartacus. She tried to convince the Doctor to stop the eruption from ever happening but he said this was impossible, and argued with him about the moral dilemna of loosing the entire city. There she fought the Pyrovile, a race of fiery golems, and convinced the Doctor to save one family from the devastation. By Donna's demand, they saved that family where they survived and travelled to Rome. They next travelled to the Ood Sphere and discovered the dark secret behind the Oods slavery by the humans in a distant future. There they stopped the slavery and mutilation and saved the Ood from their fate. After traveling in the TARDIS with the Doctor, she returned with him to Earth after a call from Martha Jones to deal with a planned Sontaran invasion, Donna met the Doctor's previous companion Martha Jones, who now works with UNIT. She went home to see her family for a short while and was terrified when her grandfather almost died at the hand of the Sontarans. She knocked a Sontaran unconscious by hitting it on the Probic vent with a hammer. She met Agatha Christie in 1926 and killed a Vespiform by throwing the Firestone into a lake in order to save Agatha Christie's life. During this adventure, she does not realise her influence of the creation of Miss Marple and Murder on the Orient Express by mentioning them to Christie years before they were created.
During a visit to a planet known as The Library, Donna meets Miss Evangelista and was disturbed by the fact she was able to communicate with her consciousness after she had been killed by the Vashta Nerada. Donna's consciousness was saved to the planet core-sized hard drive by CAL in order to save her from the Vashta Nerada. She was turned into a Node, which was a replication of her face and was somewhat brainwashed by a false past, leaving the Doctor to believe that she had been killed. Unaware of what happened, Donna's consciousness experienced several years of an idyllic existence where she married a man, took his name, now calling herself Donna McAvoy and had two children and retained these memories after being restored to her real self.
During a visit to the planet Shan Shen, Donna talked to a fortune teller, who occupied her while a Time Beetle jumed on her back and changed her history. In the alternate world Donna met Rose Tyler who gave her a message "Bad Wolf". After reverting the world to normal Donna gave the Doctor her message.
Now, she finds herself in Cardiff, where the TARDIS fails to move anywhere, leaving the Doctor stranded as well.
