It wasn't just epic. It was BRILLIANTLY FANTASTICALLY EPIC! The End of Time Part 1 may have some faults on the side, but Part Two was just perfect. The regeneration scene is the most dramatic one that I've ever seen. Far more dramatic than Davison's and Eccleston's regeneration. Granted there were borrowed concepts from Star Wars, but they made the episode more fun to watch. I've been going around forums only to see how people didn't actually understand the plot and some things like how 'delayed' the Doctor's regeneration was, how could Ten survive such a long fall, but everything they kept complaining about can be answered if one would look back at previous episodes and take a peek at what is factual. To cut my opinion short, RTD and Tennant leaves the show on a high note.
Eleventh Doctor: After seeing the preview and his first moments as the Doctor, my trust on Matt Smith of making the show a success just solidified even more. I may seem some of Tennant's enthusiasm in him, but I see also see the Sixth, Third and a bit of the Second in him. It was exciting to see him goof off a bit and all. Bring on Spring 2010 because Matt Smith and the gorgeous Amy Pond is here to stay. As the Eleventh would say, GERONIMO!

Just wondering...did you watch part 2 online, anyone, or did it actually air for you guys in the UK?
I watched most of part 2 on YouTube, but the damn member refuses to put up the last part, and its driving me insane.

I know, I got to the bit with Jack and the note and then the next part was the regeneration. GAH! I know stuff is missing.

Aw, I feel sorry for you guys. Being on Oz, I just downloaded the torrent, or else I wont see it for months. My brother and I stayed up until twelve thirty so we could watch it - a little sad i know, but ah well.
I was just like OMG for most of it. I have to say, it was brilliant, and I loved the amount of humour thrown in. It was a lot more upbeat than the recent episodes have been, even in the sadder parts. Reminded me of the acting back in season two, so it was good.
I wasn't the only one that picked up the Star Wars references then! We were laughing at that.
The flashbacks were good, if a little sad. Mickey and Martha? Wasn't she engaged to that other guy?
As much as I'm going to miss David, I have to admit - grudgingly- that Matt Smith looks like he'll do a good job in the role. It looks like he'll bring back a bit of the life to the show, that seems to be fading a tad recently.
Looking forward to seeing how it goes anyway.

I know right---- the whole Mickey/Martha is cute but I still wanna know what happened with Tom.
I liked some bits like whole whole Master/Doctor moments and all the cute Gallifrey history and all but I dunno the ending was a little over the top with the traveling. It was cute but-- typical RTD. Thank Omega he's gone. As for the bit with Wilf and Ten... I dunno it was odd how that was set up. Donna not dying -- was typical RTD and as for Matt I dunno yet I'm getting bad vibes about 11 from that little preview so he better blow me away when season five starts cos he was way too ten like. Maybe its just me but that's how I feel about that. But over all the episode did have some moments.

Well Martha and Mickey could have hooked up after Journey's End and stuff. Anyways, I don't know about you guys, but I felt Tennant's performance as the Doctor was every bit like his perfect performance as Hamlet last year. Especially the 'I could do so much more' scene. It was like his Hamlet saying 'Swounds, I should take it!.'
Anyways, I don't know about you, but the cutest and funniest part of the episode was not the 'worst rescue ever', but the Adipose in the bar. You've got to love those pieces of fat. Lol

I loved the drunken Adipose. I'm a little miffed that Jack would pick up a new boy-toy so soon. (But I'm a touch biased.)
What the hell, though? He didn't kill Donna, he brought the Time Lords back and Ianto is still dead? REALLY? Well, I'm still of the opinion that Series 3 of TW was an AU and didn't happen.

Aw, Blue. You still going to ignore it when season four comes on without Ianto? The adipose - so cute! My own little tribute to David.
