SPOILERS (End of Time)

Alight people you want to spill your spoilers/feelings about the "End of Time?" This is the place to do so:

OMR OMR OMR OMR so I saw it last night for the BBC America premiere cos the torrents were bad as were the online watching so I just waited some more to see it but seriously--- I got pretty pissed at RTD. If I was mildly pissed at RTD before I think this eppy did it. Yes if anyone was online yesterday I was spazzing out my RTD hatred in the chatbox for a good moment or two. For one thing he did a typical RTD thing: twists, odd references to historical moments, and other modern issues (i.e. the Obama thing, in his comments after the viewing he went into how America is an icon in the modern world-- I was thinking sure is baby but that's just your typical RTDness). Then like in "Children of the Earth" he had to basically break the whole thing he's created. I mean he brought back the Time Lords-- when technically their supposed to be dead. The way I feel about this is: that's really cool but they died... what's the deal here? I mean your dead and then we find out in the arch to season five that your not really dead? I guess we're gonna have to wait for part two or a later episode to find out how they come back because I'm just curious how an extinct species comes back to power. Then my other problem with this as much as I love it/hate it at the same time is their back. The Doctor claimed he was alone and then all these Time Lords come back. That can't be a good thing-- and the whole darkness coming-- that was set up by RTD for ages: with the Ood in season two. Then Rose says it again at the finale of season four and even the Ood again. Its like the Ood know something we don't.

OK back to the Ood-- they have fortune telling abilities and apparently can see into time and they bring back the darkness theme -- its a common scifi fantasy theme. Think about it: Narnia, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Harry Potter... I could keep listing the whole darkness theme. Now we know the Ood before weren't totally time sensitive creatures but now, I think its clear that they are.

So the Master comes back... and then the building explodes or something-- my question is what happened to Lucy. Did Master eat her or did she get away. I know they said no survivors but knowing RTD anything can happen. Anything to bringing back the so called extinct race of the Time Lords. Master is blond--- I liked this a lot and I also liked seeing him in a dress --- personal amusement right there. I swear a Master in a straight jacket is going on my list of cosplays. And I really liked all his moments particularity the little story about the Doctor and him running around in the grass as children. I was it was cute how he lent down and helps Doctor before pushing him to the ground. There was that moment of humanity and their old friendship.I was thinking it was also a mini parallel to Doctor holding him in his arms when Master "died." Other than that he looked really cute in a collar and I loved him being insane--- I just was laughing though that... but that's just me.

The Drumming, I kinda knew it had to either be something in his head or the effects of the schism. I mean, Master isn't one to be insane. Yeah I mean he's a little off the walls and is a little evil genius mental but that's normal. I knew the drumming had to be something more to them. I'm glad this came up as a topic. As for the Doctor thinking he was insane... I dunno because he never said anything to him after the Master claimed he did. He may or may not. He did believe him about the drumming just never heard it. At least that's how I see it. I guess we shall get into more of that when part two or another episode comes around.

Donna, so with her remembering I have two ideas one is the more obvious she explodes like the Doctor proclaimed back in season four. The second is RTD plotting some odd twist and she wont explode and have some reason why she doesn't. Its another reason why I am hating RTD at the moment and can't wait till Moffat takes the reins.

Other than that I loved the shimmer and Wilfred-- but who doesn't like Wilfred?

WHAT THE FUDGE!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, had to get that out. I just just finished watching the episode, after waiting two days for it to download (my brother claimed that because it was his birthday, he had interent rights) . I'll be damned if I'm waiting for it to air all the way down here. Australia is so behind all the time - we're supposed to be infront! So anyway, I'm totally a little bit arg right now.

What was that!

I have to say, I enjoyed it, but some of it was just plain weird. No one in this show seems to stay dead. Instead of creating new characters, the old ones just get back. And I am seriously confused by the end, with the whole timelord things. If the timelords return, won't it COMPLETLY change the show? But then again, I've not seen the old series, so I don't know.

I have to agree with Theets on the insane thing- I loved that. Had me laughing. And the little moment before the Master when all electictiy-ish again and got pumped full of tranqilisers was cute. It was good, showed that there may still be SOME humanity(timelordity?) in the Master yet.

I also loved that little bit with Wilfred and the Doctor in the pub, when the Doctor had his little meltdown. It was something different, and I think it still fitted character (unlike that weird power hungry flash in Waters of Mars - that was just odd)

But overall, I have to say I REALLY enjoyed it, and although at times I was kind of WTFudge, I'll definitley be watching-cough-downloading part two. AWWW! I want it now!

XD See, I was dead excited about the return of the Timelords and have been dancing about it since the return of the Daleks. <3 The Timelords are EPIC. So epic. But you're right, no one seems to stay dead and that is a bit of a fail factor for the show. I'm personally thinking that RTD is trying to make his mark for his final eps or something, but IDK.

But omg, Doctor and Wilfred! And DONNA REMEMBERING. THAT MADE ME SQUEAK SO LOUD MAN. I'm kind of annoyed about the general episode, though. It feels hastily and shoddily put together, especially the bit with the Master's initial resurrection and Lucy pretending not to know then knowing and then D:. IDK, that felt a bit more than forced to me. Still, I loved blonde!Master and it was generally a decent episode, so I won't complain much. I'd rather wait for part 2 though, because I'm thinking that'll be a lot better. <3

Putting my two cents on the matter, I think the episode was decent and all. It had a mix of good moments and bad ones. I, for one, never liked how the Master was resurrected. Books of Saxon? Disciples? He probably have those things and all, but RTD could have at least introduced them or something at the Sound of Drums or something so that we won't get pissed off and all. Anyways, I loved Minnie the Menace, the Master going 'Matrix-ish,' and the shimmer moment as well. The diner moment was just amazing and all.

I could understand that the show sometimes won't really live up to everyone's expectations as it is a show for kids and all, but sometimes RTD fails to remember that the audiences of Doctor Who nowadays are sharper and more critical than the audiences back in the classic series.

The Time Lords coming back is an exciting and an annoying concept. But having watched the previews and all, I think End of Time Part 2 will be much more epic than the first one. I don't know how RTD would be able to end the scenes perfectly, but if David Tennant and the staff cried after filming how it all ends then expect something epic and all. As long RTD won't give the Doctor another waving at civilians from a hot air balloon moment, I'm good with it.

Poor Matt Smith. I know he is a fantastic chap and all, but the big shoes he would be filling just got bigger.

I have to admit that as sad as I will be to see David leave, I'm immensely looking forward to Mister Matt. I've never seen him act before so I've got no kind of experience with him, but I just want him to be awesome. XD Who knows, maybe he'll be the new Tom Baker? (Seriously though, Tom Baker was love. And Patrick Troughton. <3 They're MY Doctors. >.> Which I think is why I'm so excited - Eleven looks like a Two throwback and that has made me SQUEE).

YES THE PUB SCENE I wanted a little more tears but it was so touching.

As for 11 Moffat was apparently blown away by him so ... I think it will probably be fine since the show is being focused for a younger generation... I dunno though cos I don't want to start with opinions of 11 before we see him.

and yes part two will definably be more epic because it always is because that is how RTD rocks his boat...thank Rasslion its his last boat.

Speaking of firsts, my first Doctor was Paul McGann. He was a fine Doctor and all. Loved the 'shoe' scene of the TV movie, which sucked by the way. I just wished that RTD casted him and all. But if RTD casted him, we wouldn't have seen the fantastic Doctor of Eccleston.

Anyways, let's just wish time would fly by so we'd have Series Five on our screens before we can say the Mighty Jagrafess of the Holy...etc, etc.
