Welcome to the 51st Century and the first great and bountiful Human Empire
Torchwood maintains five main bases, where it continues to protect the human race from extra-terrestrials. Torchwood 3 continues to be the black sheep of the organization, lead by the legendary Captain Jack Harkness. It continues to be stationed in Cardiff at the rebuilt Roald Dahl Plass. Torchwood 4 has been found, after spending almost a century lost, and was located in the Aurora Tower in Belfast. Recently, Torchwood 4 was taken over by The Rani, who, keeping her alien identity a secret, conducts scientific experiments upon the locals. Torchwood 2, now under control by the erratic and slightly insane Master, builds strength, concealed under the Prince Street Gardens in Edinburgh, Scotland. Torchwood, at the turn of the 51st Century, launched a space station, to allow for more research to be conducted. However, it is Torchwood 1 that has created the most ripples in the universe.
After the infamous battle of Canary Wharf, Torchwood 1 hid, presumed destroyed. However, a small few remained faithful to the organization. A small group of scientists managed to find a few small scraps of Yvonne Hartman's DNA and they cloned her. Yvonne's clone began a long line of Hartman women, who rebuilt Torchwood 1 to its former glory, including rebuilding Torchwood Tower in London. The latest Hartman daughter, Alicia, discovered the foundation texts of Torchwood and was driven to return the organization to these roots. Living by the motto, 'if it's alien, it's ours', she began systematically locking away aliens for testing. That was when she achieved the greatest feat since Yvonne Hartman. The Doctor fell into Torchwood 1's custody and since then, has been subjected to torture, thinly disguised as scientific experiments. It was after years of torture that The Doctor regenerated into his 11th form.
Meanwhile, cracks in the universe have reached out through time and space, puncturing holes everywhere, including the Time Lock. Time Lords, ones that were doomed to die inside the lock, have escaped the Time War. Some of the Doctor's greatest enemies, hearing of his demise at the hands of his favorite race, have also been up to no good, feeling free and safe without The Doctor and his meddling ways. The human race has turned on the universe's protector, who will fill his place? How much longer does the first great and bountiful human empire have until it's betrayal come back to destroy it? Only time will tell. For now, we've got to keep fighting, one day more.
