for years, the people of new orleans have known that the supernatural does exist; only,
the thing was, they were too afraid to tell anyone else because of the criticism they
might face for being too superstitious. there soon came an understanding among the locals,
that certain things were not to be told to ousiders -- that is, people who didn't already
know about what was going on in the nearby town of aldrige.
all sorts of fairy tale creatures lived in or around the small suburban town of aldrige,
louisiana. in the area sprang up a university -- brooksbane -- that was designed to
specifically cater to their not-so-human students and faculty. it wasn't until much later
that a human-only university, hollowheart, appeared on the scene. many hollowheart students
haven't the faintest idea that they live next door to faeries and monsters, otherwise there
would be no business for the university.
and yet somehow, everything seems to be peaceful ... for now, at least. there is only so
much time a tea kettle can sit on a stove before it eventually starts to whistle.
