ADVERTISING RULES

Let’s face it, advertising is pretty much the main reason people visit sites. To plug their own. Now, that means we have to have some rules to abide by. Yes, I’m sorry, but it keeps it all tidy and then everything is organised and people are more likely to read your ad. So here we go:

1) No double posting. I understand maybe you have a few people advertising your site and they don’t keep track of the sites they post on, but that’s why we have the master list. CHECK THE MASTER LIST BEFORE YOU POST. It’s not that hard. It’s pinned beneath the rules list, and there is a link here. If you do double post, then all of your advertisements will be deleted. Even the original one. Your site will also be noted down and all future ads will be deleted as well.

2) Please make sure you check your post to make sure everything is correctly set out. I know that proboards can be annoying with you having to enter a code every time you preview your post as a guest, but everyone else has to do it. Besides, you might forget something. Like links to your site. An image. The alignment might be out of whack. If you do something like use the wrong alignment tags, then I can fix that up, but I would prefer that you fixed it yourself, otherwise it looks unprofessional and messy.

3) If something needs changing in your ad, like you have your codes wrong, you revamped your ad, have a new version of your site, please post a message beneath your old ad and I can fix/change anything. This is because of the double posting rule (see rule 1 above).

4) It would be great if you could also please notify us if your site goes dead/closes down. We can then delete your ads, or if you are moving to a new location, then we can make a note and change your ad for you. It’s just easier that way. I will check every so often for dead sites, but it would be greatly appreciated if you could post somewhere in the forum, or pm an admin, when your site closes down.

5) In regard to AFFILIATION: Please post the name of your site, the button coding, and whether or not you have put up our button. A reason for affiliation, a brief rundown on your site and any other info you want to provide would be great too. We will notify you when your button is up at our end. Please don’t post your advert in the affiliation section. I will move it to the section when the request has been approved.

FOR INVISIONFREE AND OTHER BOARDS
Yes, we do accept invisionfree and other boards. This means that you MUST CHECK YOUR CODING. We use [*center], [*right] and [*left] tags, not [*align] tags. I KNOW THE CODE YOU HAVE TO PUT IN EVERYTIME YOU PREVIEW/POST A THREAD IS ANNOYING, BUT GET OVER IT. There is nothing we can do about it. If you make a mistake, please post under your ad, so we can fix it and make your ad look pretty again.
