I love music. It is the main obsession of my life. I will give everything a listen, even if I don't like it. I believe that music is our history, written (in general) by the youth telling the story of what is currently happening in our world. Everything from 'Keep the Homefires Burning' all the way to 'Smack my Bitch Up', it all tells a story, a musical photograph of sorts of how modern society acts, feels, behaves. Whether you love it or hate it, music is what makes us human. (Yes, art as well, but we're talking about music here...) So, what I want to do is share songs. I have just discovered someone. She has been around for a long while but she's new to me. I want to share her with you. This is the game: Post a link to a song you like. It has to be something new to you. This way, we can learn new music, share and grow. Besides, I am always looking for someone new to obsess on and maybe you can show me something I don't know. I'll start. I'm currently in love with Joanna Newsom. She sounds like Kate Bush if Kate Bush was from old Apalachia. I am in love with Sawdust and Diamonds. Her harp playing is beyond measure and her lyrics are haunting. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClqY--4fpZwI'm not too keen on the song Peach, Plum, Pear. Though, it is growing on me. (Don't get me wrong. I'm a club kid from back in the 90's and I love dance music but this struck me and I'm now lost in her songs.)

Owl city at the moment
Everyone knew them from fireflies, but after that, they just kind of disappeared.
But they're pretty epic, especially if you love lyrics, you know, rather than a strong back beat kind of thing.
HeyHiHello are similar, I'm just starting with those
