I have yet to plot with your Lilli here, I'm sorry to have been neglecting her!
Judging on her personality, having a tight wall 'round her will only encourage dear Eli to want to speak to her and want responses. He'll definitely bug her until she lets her guard down and settles with the fact that he's going to be 'round for awhile, therefore having to get use to his "answer my questions and I'll leave you alone" attitude. Elijah is just curious and perhaps at first she doesn't answer personal questions about her past which will of course bug him even more. He'll probably 'stumble' upon her file and read about her family on his lovely computer: "oops, this file just happened to open, the password to access it was just there and oh no it opened right to her file! -gasp!-". Elijah could possibly be the second to know of her cousin's murders, it'll make him uneasy for a bit but I'm sure once she finds out he knows things will change. She'll probably explain it and he'll understand her actions, wha-la a friendship might come from it! y/n?

It's all good, no big deal lol
Ha, I'd say it'd be quiet funny for him to be all nosy, pester her for a while (though she will, obviously, not be amused). It'll take some time before she settles, she's stubborn sometimes lol. That's good since she doesn't answer personal questions, unless close to the person she's talking to. To open up to Eli would take too much pestering and even then she'd probably come up with a story so she wouldn't have to tell him the truth. If lying then Eli could of course 'stumble' upon her file and things will go down hill from there. Lillian would probably explain it to him if he was bothered enough about it, get them on better terms and Lillian could possibly feel closer to him because of it or something. A potential friendship could come from this in the end.
