It comes as storm and fire, as brilliance and as darkness-
For as faith is lost in one, yet all else is waiting to be found;
For in between life and death, there is Frillagye;
In between what is possible and impossible, there is Frillagye;
In between savagery and civilization, there is Frillagye;
In between the poison and the cure, there is Frillagye;
In between salvation and damnation, there is Frillagye;
In between freedom and control, there is Frillagye;
In between the mind and the heart, there is Frillagye;
In between hope and despair…there is Frillagye;
Hidden from all but those who come, searching for more,
Whatever you imagine can be achieved…on Frillagye.
It all started on a seemingly normal day on a distant, unrecorded planet, far, far away… the planet itself seems unimportant but there was a visitor--a very important visitor.
To the inhabitants of this hidden planet he appeared to be a god, and had the good grace to act as one, sending his servants to heal the sick, help the needy, guide the lost until he left to become a mere memory. He left his mark though, but its meanings were forgotten in the decaying years of time.
Then another visitor arrived quite by accident: same race, different person and reasons. On a break from a war--a losing battle, he knew--he had a few good months on the planet before leaving again, only to return some twenty years later. His name: the Doctor. He also left his mark, but in a far more personal way, and when he returned, he wasn’t the only one. For the Doctor may have been the first proper Timelord to arrive, but there were others, a handful, but others, all called to the planet for reasons unknown--some had escaped from the timewar in shuttles or time-displaced TARDISes, others hid in other aliens forms, even one was frozen in a seemingly unimportant mirror, but they arrived, slowly: The Master…Romana…the Partisan…the Dazai…the ‘Darkness’…The Wolf…Andrea Sagwin…
But let us not forget the natives of the planet itself: four species roam its surface, the original Martons, with highly telepathic abilities and long lives; Satrions, with a vast intelligence they never put to good use and a hatred for all things that show more power than they; Magon, a shunned but powerful race, who have abilities to be persecuted for; and humans, both whom have walked the surface of the planet for years, and some who have barely found their feet.
Yet there is something to be known, something more important than the species that roam this unregistered planet’s surface; there is a barrier, a force field if you will, that stops TARDISes, and more importantly, Timelords, from leaving, but the time is nearing, the horizons that seemed so bleak to the Timelord race are expanding, and secrets lie hidden in the glooms of space that even the greatest races fear…
This isn’t just a hidden planet, this is a planet on the verge of change, balancing on the edge of new order or chaos. Its future depends on ordinary citizens and Timelord’s alike for it had been chosen, years ago; its fate now sealed, one way or the other. Order over chaos, or chaos winning over order, the battle rages and in the middle, lies the planet, its name known only to its occupants, chosen by a god: Frillagye.
This site was started at the end of series 3 of Doctor Who and has continued on from there. The canon of series 4 and the specials have had less of an impact, but any post S3 issues/subjects are welcome as long as they fit in properly. Anyone new to the site cannot join as a Timelord character straight away - instead we ask that you create another character that you can play enthusiastically and when we see that you care more about your creations than whether or not they have a TARDIS we’ll be more than happy for you to create (or adopt) a timelord.
Because of the issues about starting after series 3, there are some canons that are not available to be taken without prior discussion with the admin - mainly to check there is a plan for how they’ll fit in and how to merge the latest Doctor Who canon with our site. If you’d like to join as one of these restricted canons please either post on the cbox at the bottom of the page or join as any name (it can be changed later) and private message one of us. Some canons are best for players who already have roleplaying experience and/or a good grasp of writing in this kind of style but none are out of bounds if you have the enthusiasm and the ideas to handle them.
If you have any questions or problems, please either write a message in the cbox at the bottom of the page or if you can’t, join under any name and private message one of the admins. We’re a friendly bunch and more than happy to help. And on a personal note, we love our site and we’re here to stay (we’ve been going for over 2 years now and the number of sites we’ve seen start and end in the meantime drives us mental!).
